Questions

My device says the app is from an unknown developer

Marvel Controller is distributed directly from this site rather than an app store, so your device asks you to confirm once. On Android choose Install anyway. On Windows choose More info → Run anyway. On a Mac open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

Which devices work?

Onkyo, Pioneer and Integra receivers (including Zone 2); Android TV and Google TV devices such as TVs, projectors and streaming boxes; Roku players and Roku TVs; Kodi. More brands are being added.

Does it send anything to the internet?

No. Commands go straight from your phone to the hub and on to your devices, all inside your home network. This website only delivers the app.

How do I uninstall?

Android: like any app. Windows: Settings → Apps → Marvel Controller → Uninstall, or Setup → Uninstall inside the app. Mac: Setup → Stop hub, then drag the app to the Bin. Linux: sudo systemctl disable --now marvelhub.
